The Panchayat Steering Committee is the most important committee formed to coordinate the activities of various standing committees in the village panchayats of Kerala, formulate the general policies of the panchayat, and expedite administrative matters.

Panchayat President (Chairperson)
Panchayat Vice President
Chairpersons of the various other standing committees in the panchayat
Main responsibilities:
Coordinate the activities of the other standing committees in the panchayat.
Finalize the agendas to be presented at panchayat governing body meetings.
Review the panchayat's general development activities, projects, and finances.
Recommend solutions when differences of opinion arise among the other committees.
