Vision and Mission
Veliyannoor Grama Panchayat has emerged as one of the best panchayats in the state, making remarkable progress in efficient governance and service delivery. Achieving 100% tax collection and 100% plan expenditure continuously for seven years reflects the dedication and unity of our elected representatives, officials, and the general public. These achievements are evidence of our commitment to effective resource management and the unwavering support of the public in building a prosperous community.
Over the past 50 years, the selfless cooperation of distinguished presidents and panchayat members, efficiently functioning employees, and above all, the general public has helped elevate this panchayat to one of the leading panchayats in Kerala itself.
The panchayat has also achieved several distinctions, including being the first fully digitalized grama panchayat in the district, the first fallow-free panchayat in the district, the 2016-17 award from the Department of Social Justice for exemplary work in strengthening the ICDS project, the first FHC to obtain the NQAS certificate twice, the Swaraj Trophy award for the best grama panchayat in the district for 2018-19, the Swaraj Trophy for the second-best grama panchayat in the district in 2017-18, 2019-20,2022-23, and the Swaraj Trophy award for the best panchayat in the state in 2023-24. The panchayat also achieved 100 percent performance in plan implementation and tax collection during the past 7 consecutive years.
The grama panchayat's achievement was further recognized through the 2023-24 *Swaraj Trophy*, an award honoring excellence in local governance. This recognition motivates us to continue providing high-quality services and working tirelessly for community welfare. Our panchayat's focus on excellence in service delivery, infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, and social welfare has enhanced the quality of life of every resident.
