The 2025 ward delimitation (delimitation) process, as in all grama panchayats in Kerala, was conducted by the State Delimitation Commission. The draft notification was published in November 2024, and hearings on complaints were held in January–February 2025. Subsequently, the final ward division orders for grama panchayats were issued in May 2025. As part of this delimitation process, the number of wards across Kerala's 941 grama panchayats increased from 15,962 to 17,337.

In the final ward division of 2025, the number of wards in Veliyannoor Panchayat increased from 13 to 14. One of the major changes was the inclusion of Keeripelmala as a separate ward as part of the changes made to the previous ward arrangement.
